Reba is fabulous. She’s very knowledgeable. She really takes her time with each student and treats them as an individual. She has compassion for people and genuine love. I will be recommending this workshop to friends.
FELT treated well, like how I am/we are is okay and acceptable – not like other classes where teachers act like they are the experts that look down on the participants…! [Reba is] knowledgeable, experienced, able to establish affinity, still learning and not hiding that or acting like it is bad to be still not understanding and able to do everything right all the time.
Very skillful in handling people’s diverse reactions to mindfulness practice.
A very kind, loving, insightful human being and teacher. Also humble in a way that is inspiring. Her calm, clear, and gentle way of leading the meditation portions of the class make it all but impossible not to participate and learn. She is very good at the didactic part of the class and presents material in a personal way which helps make it easier to understand and relate it to my own experience. Please keep going – I hope to see this class continue and grow. It’s a valuable tool for people to have.
Reba’s feedback and listening is excellent. I am not eating less, but I am more accepting.
Today’s workshop opened my mind to possibly exploring meditation more in depth. I have always been interested but never thought I could calm my brain enough to do it correctly.
Connection back to how to bring ideas/concepts of mindfulness into a professional environment [was helpful]. I often think of it as just a personal experience.
It’s never too late to change your life. I’ve made significant gains in my food choices. And have reduced my stress level.
…Finding ways to be more kind to myself not only helps me, but can be of help to others who experience me.
I liked that the discussions and homework both entailed what is correct for you and your body. It’s not about someone else’s judgment on what you should do.
I felt supported in making my own choices.
…The recognition that we are all unique and are continuously researching what we need to be healthy was “nourishing” for me.
Wow!! ... I mostly eat whole foods now. And I take the time to enjoy and savor my food.
I have changed….recognizing that I benefit from really checking in with my senses/various kinds of hunger to find out if a particular practice is good for me. I also stop and chew more and notice the sensations, feelings as I eat more. This feels more satisfying now.
"I have had the great pleasure of knowing Reba professionally in a number of ways, including co-leading a Mindfulness workshop together. Reba brings an open and honest spirit to her work, impressing me with her ability to be present with her own experience and to communicate this effectively with others. I appreciate Reba's warmth and her commitment to values and ideals, and I highly recommend her as a teacher of mindfulness and stress reduction."
