Meditation and Eating with the Brain in Mind

and guided by your own awareness ​and self-compassion

Feeling frazzled?

Anxious before you open your eyes,
searching for coffee to brighten your energy,
fading and shaky by late morning,
spacey and slumping in productivity after lunch,
people irritating you in the evening,
so exhausted but can't sleep,
waking at 4 AM with regret and the to-do list…
 
It’s not you. So many people are experiencing similar blocks to achieving goals and connecting with others.

you’re more able to connect with your beloveds and create a better world.

 
Eating with the Brain in Mind involves:
  • treating oneself with compassion and love
  • eating in ways that prioritize the incredible functions of the brain and body
  • taking digestion seriously
  • individually discovered solutions
  • pleasure and abundance

This mindful information evening is a great way to find out if you would like to take a comprehensive program for your mood or refer others.

Please come practice meditation, and ask questions about the Nourish Your Mood program.
This evening is a way to meet the teacher, find out how the Nourish Your Mood: Meditation and Eating with the Brain in Mind program goes, and decide whether you would like to take it or refer others.

  • self-compassion practice
  • the structure and principles of Nourish Your Mood: Eating with the Brain in Mind, which starts 3/21/21.

Nourish Your Mood: Meditation and Eating with the Brain in Mind

is a comprehensive program for your mood that:
  • Is evidence-based and open-hearted. 
  • Gives you accurate support for your physiology and respects you as your own best teacher.
  • Lets you discover your own answers and gives you mutual support.

Body-positive, fat-positive, food-positive, transgender/LGBTQI-positive. 
 
Nourish Your Mood is committed to a body-positive, fat-liberation approach.

Nourish Your Mood is transgender and non-binary-affirming. We welcome bodies living with disability and health conditions.
 
Eating with the Brain in Mind does not involve:
  • Deprivation
  • Weighing yourself or calorie talk
  • Using nutrition or mindfulness as more reasons to criticize yourself

This event is a fundraiser for Urban Tilth. Please help Urban Tilth in giving free farm boxes to low-income people during the pandemic. Urban Tilth hires and trains local residents to cultivate agriculture in west Contra Costa County to help our community build a more sustainable, healthy, and just food system.
