Energy Psychology for Trauma, Abuse, and PTSD

I have been working with people healing from trauma, including sexual abuse, war, and domestic violence, since 1994.

Traumas I work with include one-time traumas, such as a car accident, and developmental traumas that start in early life, like parents that couldn't adequately support you emotionally, or harmed you.

We can also explore the harm of the traumas of living in this unjust world, the ways that the harms of racism, sexism, homophobia and transphobia fall on us and live in the body and mind in ways we don't invite.

Energy Psychology is one of the most immediate, flexible, and useful practices I have found for helping you with trauma. Energy Psychology is a group of self-calming practices involving breathing and touching one’s own face and body. Scientific studies and clinical experience are confirming that Energy Psychology can help with anxiety, relationships, and trauma.

You will learn practices to calm down during a conflict, sleep better, or let go of things that bother you. These simple practices include Emotional Freedom Techniques, known as tapping.

Energy Psychology is a somatic therapy and has similarities to EMDR.

These practices help you by enhancing nervous system regulation, changing the way your brain stores upsetting memories, and bringing in more happiness and focus. You'll learn practices to use at home, in moments of stress or to start your day on a good note.

Many of the practices you will learn are influenced by thousands of years of acupuncture, yoga, and Qi Gong.

Multiple research studies show that Energy Psychology is an effective treatment for:
    •    Pain
    •    Anxiety
    •    Depression
    •    Cravings
    •    Trauma and PTSD
    •    Peak athletic performance
